Tamil Literary Association is one of the oldest and active societies of Royal College and it has actively organized various activities for the past 73 years to help young Royalists to build up themselves with confidence, leadership qualities and mould their character and all-round personalities. Tamil Literary Association was started in 1938. Tamil Literary Association is also making an effort to improve and expose the talents of the children by conducting language training campaigns and cultural events which will help to understand and appreciate each other and the cultures of various ethnicities that are prevailing in the school.
The Association has made this service available for other school students by organizing Inter Schools Competitions annually. It has also taken the responsibility to encourage young talents by staging creative ideas of the students through the "Kalai Vizha" (Tamil Cultural Day) which is held annually and publishes its Annual Magazine ''Thamizh Nayam''. |
