The Sinhala Language & Literary Unit of Royal College is one that promotes activities dedicated specially towards students’ of the respective unit. 11 years back (Prior to the present name) this unit was recognized as the Senior Sinhala Literary Association.

 It launched its official website www.sahitya.lk in the year 2009. This unit is mainly active annually and it organizes All Island Inter-school Sinhala Sahithya Competitions, Sinhala Blog Competitions and also organizes the ‘Aseniya Kusuma’ Sahithya ceremony.
